Police are holding two men as suspected terrorists after they were injured in an explosion in an Old City public lavatory yesterday afternoon. One of the men, who have not been identified, had a leg amputated at Hadassah Medical Center. The other person was found in the lavatory in a state of shock.
Police suspect that the explosives blew up accidently shortly before they were scheduled to be used in an Old City alley. They reportedly were contained in a pipe, mixed with many chopped nails, which would increase the amount of damage caused by the explosion.
