Reports received here today told of 200 West German aviation experts and technicians quitting Jobs in Egypt and returning home because they were not paid since June 1.

According to the reports, the Egyptian government failed to make the customary hard currency deposits to the European bank accounts of the high-salaried Germans who were building up Egypt’s military air potential.

(From Cairo it was reported today that Wolfgang S. Lotz, a German expert now on trial in Egypt on charges of espionage for Israel has pleaded guilty to the charge. His wife and another German expert, Franz Kiesow, are on trial on the same charge, but their attorneys indicated they would plead not guilty. The indictment against all three called for the death penalty).
