Approximately 2,000 Turkish Jews left this country for Israel during the month of August, it was revealed here today. This brings the total for the past year to above 25,000.
It was also learned that almost every Jewish family remaining in Turkey has at least one member now living in Israel. The number of emigrants is about one-third of the Jewish population as it stood before the proclamation of the Jewish state.
