Nearly 20,000 persons will be moved out of the immigrant camps in the next six weeks, Jewish Agency sources said today.
Some 2,300 families will be moved to settlements and working villages, while 2,600 families will be transferred to permanent housing which is being completed as part of last year’s building program. As the last year’s program nears its end, there seem to be few prospects for an early beginning of a new building program.
