The authorities announced yesterday a tentative plan for the settlement during 1937 of 20,324 Jews in Biro-Bidjan, autonomous Jewish territory in Soviet Siberia. The number will include 4,904 families and 2,680 individuals.
It was announced that 1,000 families will be settled on collective farms in the territory with the remainder to be employed in artisan workshops, state factories, railways and other public services.
