The twentieth annual convention of the Associated Young Men’s and Young Women’s Hebrew Associations of New England will be held in Cambridge, Aug. 30, 31 and Sept. 1. A special program in connection with the general tercentenary celebration of the founding of Massachusetts is being planned. This program, which is in charge of Abraham Ranen, will include the laying of a wreath at the soldiers’ monument, patriotic orations by eminent speakers and concerts by military and naval bands.
The convention will open Saturday night, Aug. 30, with an informal dance, which will be followed Sunday morning by the opening session. On Sunday night the grand banquet, which the Governor and other notables are expected to attend, will be held in the Commander Hotel. On Monday, Labor Day, a business session will take place, followed by the tercentenary program. In the evening the New England “Y” convention will close with a ball.
