Labor-Mapam Alignment (previous elections–56); Likud (32), comprising Gahal (26), State List (4), Free Center (2) and the Greater Israel Movement (new); National Religious Party (12); Agudath Israel, Poalei Agudat Yisrael (6); Independent Liberals (4); Rakah– New Communists (3). Progress and Development (2). Alignment affiliated Moslem Arabs and Druse.
Cooperation and Brotherhood (2), Alignment affiliated Christian and Moslem Arabs; Moked (1), comprising the Maki Communists and the recently formed Blue-Red List; Meri (2), headed by Knesseter Uri Avneri; Black Panthers–Israel-Democrats (new–headed by Shalom Cohen, formerly a Meri Knesseter, broke away after quarrel with Avneri); Panther Blue-White (new, headed by Eddy Malca, formerly of the original Black Panthers, broke off); Citizens Rights Movement (new headed by Shulamit Aloni, a former Labor member); The League (new–founded by the Jewish Defense League).
Social Equality Movement (new–headed by Knesseter Avner Sciaky, formerly of the NRP; Revolution Socialist List (new, headed by Rami Livneh, now serving a jail term for security offences); Arab List of Bedouin and villagers (new); Popular Movement (new); Israel Arab List (new, Likud-affiliated); Ain Nun-Brotherhood movement (new); and Yemenite List (new).
