A report that 21 synagogues have been converted for use as clubs and other purposes during the past month is contained in today’s “Emes,” organ of the Moscow Jewish Communists, which devotes a full page to the anti-religious campaign. Of this number five were in Hoem and three in Uman. Applications for the conversion of 14 more synagogues were entered during the last month.
