Twenty-two thousand, three hundred and eighty-four tourists, excluding immigrants, visited Palestine during the months of May, June, July, August and September, a good number spending over two months, according to a report published in the official Commercial Bulletin for December.
It is expected that the coming winter tourist season will be a record one, the estimated number of tourists who will visit Egypt and Palestine according to tourist agencies, far exceeding those of any pre-war winter. The official report for October shows that 4,327 travellers in transit, tourists and pilgrims, entered the country during that month.
In order to cope with the large number of tourists, many of them Jewish, expected in 1925, a non-commercial Jewish Information Bureau is being opened in Jerusalem to give information about tours, hotels, antiquities, etc.
