A national goal of $2,343,000 for the maintenance of the activities of The Jewish Theological Seminary of America, the United Synagogue of America and the Rabbinical Assembly of America for 1953-54 was adopted by the National Planning Committee at the 7th annual meeting of the group held in New York this week, it was announced here today. More than 200 lay leaders from every part of the United States and Canada attended the sessions, which were held at the Seminary.
In addition to setting a goal for the years ahead, the Committee voted to reorganize its structural set up in order to produce maximum results in two major areas: that of interpreting and developing the program of the Seminary to local communities, and that of achieving accelerated support on the local level.
