Twenty-five thousand persons attended the funeral of Wilhelm Vaszonvi. Hungarian Jewish statesman, who died on Saturday.
The procession marched through the streets of Budapest, where all the stores were closed. Mourning banners were displayed. The procession halted at the City Hall and the Great Synagogue in Tabak Street. Rabbis Hevesi, and Barczy Ripka eulogized the late statesman. All members of the Opposition party were present, including Vasz, Andrassy and Pallavicini.
