A pledge to raise $25,000 for the upbuilding of Palestine as a Jewish National Home was given yesterday by the Order Sons of Zion, Zionist organization with more than 5,000 members in Eastern United States.
Dr. Harris J. Levine, chairman of the committee for Palestine activities of the order, announced that the sum would go to the Jewish National Fund, land redemption agency in Palestine. Substantial sums have already been contributed, Mr. Levine said, and efforts are being made to raise the entire quota before celebration of the annual order day in March.
The order, which recently observed its twenty-seventh anniversary, has also inaugurated a membership drive under the leadership of Joseph Kramer, president, and other national officers.
