Grants of $185,000 were received today by 270 hospitals, orphanages and institutions for the blind and crippled from the $2,500,000 trust fund established by the late Bernard Baron, tobacco magnate. Today is the anniversary of Baron’s birthday. For four years prior to his death he made a present of an extra week’s wages to every one of his employes and his firm continued that gift today to the 3,300 people in its employ.
