Three hundred more communities than participated last year have been brought into the United Jewish Appeal 1943 spring campaign, it was announced here today by U.J.A. headquarters. The total of Jewish communities engaged in the campaign is now 2,740, the announcement said, adding that “many thousands of American Jews are being brought into more direct and intensive participation in community activity than ever before.”
