PRESSING ITS DRIVE TO STAMP OUT ARAB TERRORISM, THE AUTHORITIES TODAY ARRESTED 28 MORE SUSPECTED TERRORISTS IN THE VILLAGE OF AL MAZAR, NEAR JENIN, WHERE SHEIKH FARHAN ESSADI, 70-YEAR-OLD BANDIT CHIEFTAIN, AND THREE AIDES WERE SEIZED SUNDAY

DISPUTE OVER TITLE TO LAND IN THE VICINITY OF HAIFA LED TODAY TO AN ATTACK BY ARABS OF THE VILLAGE OF SAADI UPON A GROUP OF PLOUGHMEN OF THE NEARBY JEWISH SETTLEMENT OF HAZOREA. TWO ARABS AND TWO JEWS WERE WOUNDED IN THE CLASH. THE ASSAILANTS WERE FINALLY DISPERSED BY A SUPERNUMERARY WHO FIRED HIS RIFLE INTO THE AIR.

BOMBS WERE THROWN NEAR THE BRITISH POLICE BARRACKS AT GAZA AND NEAR THE RAILWAY STATION. THE TRACKS WERE DAMAGED SHORTLY AFTER THE TRAIN TO EGYPT HAD PASSED. THE DISTRICT COMMISSIONER THREATENED PROMINENT ARAB CHIEFTAINS OF THE VICINITY WITH PENALTIES F THE BOMB-THROWERS WERE NOT TURNED OVER TO THE POLICE BY NOON.
