The 28th annual conference of the Labor Zionist Organization of America-Poale Zion opened here tonight with 500 delegates from all parts of the country in attendance. It is the first national meeting since the organization merged with the League for Labor Palestine last July.
Among the principal speakers who will address the convention, which will continue through Sunday, are Mcshe Shertok; Dr. Hayim Fineman, national chairman; Joseph Sprinzak, Palestine labor leader; Berl Locker, a member of the Jewish Agency executive; and Louis Segal, general secretary of the Jewish National Workers Alliance. Zalman Rubashov, editor of Davar, Palestine labor daily, will be the guest of honor at a banquet tomorrow evening.
