More than 1,000 delegates and guests are expected to attend the two-day 29th annual meeting of the National Conference of Christians and Jews here November 10-11, it was announced today by Benjamin F. Fairless, noted steel industrialist, and James F. Twohy, West Coast business leader, the national co-chairman.
A memorial tribute to the late Roger W. Strauss, who served as Conference co-chairman from its founding in 1928 until his death last July, will open the national assembly with Dr. Arthur H. Compton, Nobel Prize physicist, presiding.
Another feature event will be the annual Veterans Day Brotherhood Luncheon on November 11. Speakers who will address the sessions include Adm. Lewis L. Strauss, chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission and Dr. Everett R. Clinchy, president of the National Conference.
