Three Israeli soldiers were wounded in two incidents in south Lebanon over the weekend, none seriously. In both cases the casualties were caused by explosives detonated at roadsides as Israeli military vehicles passed by.
A military spokesman reported that a soldier was wounded today when an explosive charge was triggered near two armored personnel carriers ona road at the eastern approaches to Sidon. There have been numerous attacks on Israeli personnel in that area in the past two weeks, military sources said.
Two soldiers were wounded Friday by an explosion on a road north of Nabatiya where their mobile unit was on patrol. A search for the perpetrators was carried out by Israeli forces and units of the Lebanese arm Moslem religious extremists are known to have been active there in recent days.

Meanwhile, the port of Sidon was reopened after having been shut down for nearly two weeks following explosions on the docks that wounded II IDF soldiers, one of whom subsequently died.
