Three Jewish steamships were not permitted by the authorities today to participate in “Sea Day” arranged by the officials of the Levant Fair. The ships are the Har Zion, the Tel Aviv and the Atid.
The authorities intimated that anchoring in Tel Aviv waters was permitted only to ships unloading cargoes, not for display purposes. A temporary harbor has been established here as a result of the Jaffa port strike. Speakers at “Sea Day” included Mayor Meier Dizengoff, and Moshe Shertok, of the Jewish Agency for Palestine.
