Thirty Arab women began a sit-in strike in a Nablus mosque yesterday to protest recent arrests by Israeli occupation authorities and the demolition of houses belonging to suspected terrorists. Nablus, the largest West Bank town, was the scene of disorders by students and adults in recent days. A curfew on the old part of town was lifted yesterday after four days.

Israeli sappers demolished several houses in East Jerusalem which belonged to suspected members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. Several of the buildings were used as weapons training sites, authorities said.
