The first complete and unabridged edition of the Babylonian Talmud in the English language will be published here on March 27. Edited by Rabbi Dr. I. Epstein, assisted by twelve Talmudic authorities, the monumental new work will contain a foreword by Dr. J. H. Hertz, Chief Rabbi of the British Empire.
The work will appear in about thirty volumes, the first eight of which will be published simultaneously this month. A second set is scheduled for publication next year, a third in 1937 and the final volumes in 1938. It is published by the Soncino Press, of London.
