Thirty thousand Jews in Berlin alone are receiving winter relief from Jewish organizations, it was reported today at a special relief conference.

While contributions have decreased during the year, the number of relief applicants has increased, particularly in the once-wealthy western part of the city, it was reported.

Among relief recipients, 27 per cent are “stateless” and foreigners and seven per cent “non-Aryans” not classed as Jews.
