Some 30,000 of the 40,000 Jews in the vicinity of Constantine, Algeria, have already left the country, according to press reports received here today. The reports said that the remaining Jews as well as other Europeans were being urged to stay by the Algerian leaders who are promising them personal security after Algeria attains independence.
