Israel received $320 million in cash transfers from institutions all over the world in 1967 compared to $94 million the previous year, it was disclosed in figures published by the Central Statistics Bureau here. The bulk of the sum was believed to have been contributed to the Israel Emergency Fund established after the June, 1967 Six-Day War. Various Israeli institutions suspended their individual fund raising activities abroad at the time in order not to conflict with the emergency fund drive.
According to the statistics, $209 million came from the United States and Canada, $45 million from European countries, $41 million from the sterling area and $25 million from other countries.
