Thirty -three Americans and Canadians have joined the faculty of Bar Ilan University, an American-Sponsored institution of higher learning at Ramat Gan. near Tel Aviv According to an announcement by the university’s administrative office here, they comprise the largest group of American and Canadian academicians to join the Bar Ilan staff in a single academic year.
Twelve of the new faculty members come from New York. The rest are from 10 states and Ontario. Their specialties include science, economics, mathematics, English, education, foreign languages, political science, psychology and Bible. Bar Ilan, founded in 1955, has a current enrollment of 4,500 students in 28 under-graduate and post-graduate departments and a faculty of over 600.
