Three hundred and fifty Polish Jewish orphans, the first unit of a group of 2,000 children admitted temporarily to France on transit visas granted by the French Ministry of the Interior, arrived here today aboard a special Polish Red Cross train. The remainder are expected shortly, as soon as transportation is available.
Ten Jewish organizations are cooperating with the Youth Aliyah in caring for the children, who will be put up in various children homes after medical examinations. The entire operation is being financed by the JDC.
