To provide Europe’s Jowish men, women and children with the basic essentials of living — food, clothing, medicines and blankets — the Joint Distribution Committee shipped a record-breaking 35,000,000 pounds of relief supplies overseas during the first four months of 1947, it was announced yesterday by Edward M.M. Warburg, J.D.C. chairman.
