Four thousand and sixty-two immigrants settled in Palestine during the month of September, according to official figures. Of this number, 3,903 were Jews.
The Jewish immigrants included 51 registered tourists, 450 immigrants who entered the country under the capitalist classification with capital of at least one thousand pounds (about $4,900), 507 dependents of immigrants in the capitalist classification, 1,254 workers and 1,175 dependents of workers.
Two hundred and twenty prospective immigrants were refused admission into the country.
