More than 400 women attended the annual all day session of the New York City Federation of Jewish Women’s Organizations yesterday in the community house of Temple Emanu-El, 1 East Sixty-fifth street. Mrs. David E. Goldfarb, president of the federation, conducted the discussion, the theme of which was “The Responsibility of Every Jewish Women’s Organization in the Problems of Today.”

Dr. Solomon Lowenstein, Dr. Sidney E. Goldstein and Dr. Israel Goldstein spoke on the social, religious and economic aspects of the theme.

Reports by representatives of women’s organizations affiliated with the federation were made to illustrate how they were atempting to fulfill the requirements presented by changing events. Among those who spoke were: Mrs. Stephen S. Wise of the Women’s Division of the Allied Jewish Campaign, Mrs. Roger W. Straus of the United Jewish Appeal, Mrs. Felix Warburg of the Young Women’s Hebrew Association and Mrs. Leon Kamaiky of HIAS.
