A total of $400,000 was raised here last night for the Weizmann Institute of Science at a preview of film “Exodus” produced in Israel by Otto Preminger. About 1,500 people, each paying $250 for the Institute’s research fund, were present.
After the preview, Mr. Meyer W. Weisgal, chairman of the executive council of the Weizmann Institute, presented a mosaic map of Israel to Preminger. The map, created by a group of outstanding Israeli artists, bears the inscription, “To Otto Preminger, in gratitude and friendship, from the Weizmann Institute of Science.”
