Forty-three new colonies for Jews from Central and Eastern Europe have been founded in Palestine since August, 1935, with United Palestine Appeal funds, according to a report issued by Harold Jacobi, chairman of the Greater New York campaign of the U.P.A. Eight thousand Jews from Germany were settled on the land as farmers during the past four years since the beginning of the Hitler regime, the report said.
