Jews will get 4,440 of the 4,870 immigration certificates issued by the government for the ensuing six-month period, it was announced today. the remaining 430 certificates have been earmarked for non-Jews, to be apportioned as follows: 200 for the clergy, 150 for laborers, 50 for dependents and 20 for capitalists possessing at least $5,000. Of the Jewish total, 600 certificates will be deducted to cover those issued in advance of the schedule.
