More than 470 refugee children who were released from the Riversaltes Detention Camp in Southern France during the last eight months have been taken into the homes established by the OSE, the Jewish Health Society, in France with the aid of the American Joint Distribution Committee, it was announced here today by the American OSE Committee.
About 1,500 children are now in the OSE homes in France, the announcement said. The OSE also recently opened two homes for adolescents released from the detention camp in Gurs. The work of maintaining the house is being financed by the JDC and the French OSE.
