Tales recalling the medieval Palestine pilgrimage adventures were described by four Jewish immigrants from Soviet Russia who arrived here via Bagdad. The four are members of a group of 500 Russian Jews who left Soviet Russia last year with the intention of going on foot to Palestine through Persia.
Many were arrested by the officials on the frontier and were exiled to Siberia. About 150 of the group died en route, the new arrivals declared. The other surviving members are expected to arrive shortly.
