Palestine has at present 513 industrial establishments employing 5,000 workers. More than one million and one half pounds sterling is invested in these establishments.
These figures are the result of a statistical survey made by the “Davar,” Hebrew labor daily. This survey does not include the Ruttenberg Works which employ seven hundred workers.
Only six firms have a capital exceeding twenty thousand pounds. Fifty-nine firms have a capital each of more than 3,000 pounds. All others operate on a capital of less than 3,000 pounds.
