A total of $521,000 has already been secured in the campaign for $2,221,000 which the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies is conducting to complete the budget of $5,499,000 voted to its ninety-one affiiliated institutions at the beginning of the year.
This announcement was made yesterday by George Blumenthal, chairman of the campaign, who pointed out that the sum still to be raised is $1,700,000.
ROEDER ELECTED JUDGE
Jehial Roeder, son of the late Simon Roeder, active in Jewish communal affairs in this city, was elected municipal court judge on the Republican ticket from the ninth district of Manhattan. In its report of Tuesday’s elections the Jewish Daily Bulletin erroneously reported that all Jewish nominees for the municipal court had been defeated.
