A total of 5,450 tons of Israeli oranges have arrived at the port of Dunkirk in the last two weeks and have been transshipped to the Paris area where they had been sold in advance of their arrival it was reported today.
The Finance Ministry had set a top limit of 6,000 tons on Israel fruit imports. However, since the Spanish crop has failed and the usual supply from that source has been reduced, it is expected that the Ministry will soon raise the quota on Israeli imports in this category.
