A contingent of 554 Israel-bound Jewish immigrants, including 254 youths, boarded the Italian steamer S.S. Teti at Naples today. The youths, who have been living in four children’s homes in Italy, embarked as a unit. They are expected to remain together after they reach the Jewish state.

The Italian Government provided special trains to bring the Jewish youths from their respective homes in Fana, Pisa and Montemario to Naples. Israeli envoy Arieh Stern reviewed a parade of the youngsters just before they embarked on the vessel.
