Two Jewish merchants now in exile and four others were sentenced to prison terms and heavy fines today for infraction of the currency laws. The two condemned in absentia are Moritz Kayser, who was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment and 300,000 marks ($120,000) fine, and Jacoby, two years’ imprisonment and 100,000 marks ($40,000) fine. Four others were given terms of two to three years in prison and considerable fines. They were accused of transferring capital to Holland in the guise of legitimate trade transactions.
