Some 6, 000 persons jammed the Shrine Auditorium here for a celebration marking Israel’s 13th anniversary of independence, sponsored by the Jewish Federation Council of Greater Los Angeles and the American Zionist Council in cooperation with the Brandeis Institute. Irving C. Hill, president of the Jewish Federation Council, and Victor M. Carter, chairman of the United Jewish Welfare Fund, participated in the event.
