Six hundred and seventy-five refugee immigrants, including 44 orphaned children, arrived here today aboard the Marine Perch from Bremerhaven. The majority were displaced Jews.

The United Service for New Americans provided corporate affidavits for most of the immigrants and the Joint Distribution Committee made immigration arrangements abroad and paid transportation costs for those who have no American relatives. The European-Jewish Children’s Aid, an affiliate of U.S.N.A., will care for the orphans until cooperating Jewish, Protestant and Catholic agencies make arrangements for placing them throughout the country.
