A train-load of 675 Jews who left Rumania several weeks ago, but who were held up on the Rumanian-Bulgarian border and visa difficulties, arrived here today from Turkey.

They were met at the Athlit clearance camp, to where they were taken from the train, by representatives of the Jewish Agency. Their arrival was filmed by cameramen of the “March of Time.” The immigrants include 277 women, 195 men, 195 youths between the ages of nine and 17, and eight infants.

Sir Edward Grigg, British Minister of State for the Middle East, who is now visiting here, today received Moshe Shertok, chief of the political department of the Jewish Agency, and David Ben-Gurion, chairman of the Agency’s executive. The subject of their discussions was not revealed. Sir Edward also saw Dr. N. Altman, Revisionist leader.
