Seven anti-Nazi demonstrators, arrested during the visit of Dr. Ernst F. S. Hanfstaengl to Harvard and who were later sentenced to serve six months in jail, were released today upon recommendation of Governor Ely. They had already served thirty-six days of their six-month terms.
Those released were Sarah Barr, Joseph Jacobs, Joseph Dauber, Irwin Miller, Arvid Johnson, Timothy Burr and John Lannter.
All seven were arrested at anti-Nazi demonstrations during the Harvard commencement exercises.
