The number of cities where no food is being sold to Jews has jumped from forty, as reported earlier this week, to seventy, a Jewish Telegraphic Agency survey reveals.

In Dieburg, Koenigstaten, Niedenstein, Ebenkoben, and Rothenburg, the mayors have issued orders forbidding Jews to sell food on push-carts.

Jews in these cities are also forbidden to buy or sell real estate, and orders have been issued to strike from the relief lists names of all “Aryans” caught dealing with Jews.

In numerous other cities mayors have announced that they will strike from the relief lists the name of any “Aryan” maintaining contact with Jews. Consequently, in almost every city in Germany, the local “Aryan” population shuns the Jews in order not to suffer accusation of violating these edicts or the new anti-Jewish legislation enacted last Sunday.

Hundreds of thousands of Jews throughout the country have been thrown into a state of panic as a result of the new situation created by the Reichstag’s ghetto legislation.
