More than 700 tons of Joint Distribution Committee food clothing and medical supplies have arrived at Constanza aboard four vessels, it was announced here today. A fifth vessel, carrying a J.D.C. cargo of 450 tons of supplies, is expected to arrive at Constanza shortly.
Meanwhile, the local J.D.C. office has applied to the authorities for the Exemption from duty of the new supplies in order to facilitate their speedy distribution among the country’s needy Jews.
