$70,000 for U.p.a. in First 2 Days of Chicago Drive

A total of $70,000 was raised at dinners held here inaugurating the United Palestine Appeal.

The amount of $35,000 was contributed at a dinner last night at Anshei Sholom Center of residents of the West Side. The North Side meeting resulted in $10,000 being subscribed and $25,000 was pledged at the meeting of the Northwest Side. Judge William M. Lewis and Dr. Ben Zion Mossinsohn were the speakers at the meetings.

The drive will continue until Thursday.
