Seven hundred and sixty-five Austrian Jewish refugees from Shanghai arrived here today. This was the second group of repatriates to return this year, 34 having arrived Jan. 26. They were greeted by Mayor Theodor Koarmer and representatives of the government, the Jewish Community Council, the Joint Distribution Committee and UNRRA.
Five hundred and twenty beds in hotels and boarding houses were ready for the repatristes when they arrived. Mayor Koarmer promised them aid in finding permenant living quarters. Half of the members of the group are between 50 and 80 years of age.
