Six Kitchens maintained in Berlin with the aid of the Joint Distribution Committee gave 77,757 free meals and distributed 21,806 food packages to Jews during 1936, Joseph C. Hyman, secretary and executive director of the J.D.C. announced.
Funds sent by the J.D.C. were supplemented by money raised in Germany, the announcement said. About 400 persons are being fed daily at the kitchens or through receipt of food packages.
