8 Jewish Councillors Are Elected in Riga

Eight Jewish councillors were elected to the new city government.

The Socialist and Left labor groups will have a majority in the new city council. The ultra-Orthodox Agudath Israel party suffered defeat in the elections, losing about fifty per cent, of its previous vote.
