A military court yesterday sentenced eight officials of the children’s school at Ben Shemen, near Lydda, to prison terms ranging from three to seven years for violation of the emergency regulations. Arms were found at the school during a search on Jan. 22.
Dr. Siegfried Lehman and Israel Frankel received sentences of seven years each. Four other officials were given five-year terms and two received terms of three years each. One official was acquitted, while two others were released for lack of evidence after presentation of the prosecution’s case.
